Recently, recently i mean yesterday, ive bought a tyrfing rosewill case. I've been really frustrated with the crap my pc is doing. I plugged in the front panel cables into the right place, ive tried short circuiting the power switch, mostly everything i can think of. and before you say 'your psu might be dead' the front light and my usb powered leds are turning on which means it must have power. please any help will do. thank you

If this doesnt work what do you think will? i honestly dont think theres any thing wrong with the motherboard since it was working perfectly fine in my other case.

Did not fix, but ill try the other solutions. and if you know anything else i can do it will be highly appreciated. if you'd like some pics i can give you some. and my specs i can list. id just like to get this fixed because i literally skipped school for my dumbass computer lmao

heres my crappy specs:

g31tm-p21
4gb ddr2
q6700 2.4 ghz
gtx 1050 zotac
some unknown psu brand

and also if you might think the front panel might be broken. it probably isnt because the led indicating that the pc has power turns on when i turn on the actual computer

what do you think would be broken? tbe motherboard cant be because its receiving power. the front panel cant be broken because the light is on. and the psu cant be broken since its power, like what i said, the motherboard.

"receiving power" does not mean 100% working.

So...
New case.
Neglect to install standoffs and power up
oops
Install standoffs
Still does not work.

If everything is actually connected properly (check this 3 times), then Occam's Razor suggests the motherboard is broken in some way.

it should be connected or i mean maybe is. heres a picture of it showing that it has power

ok let me explain, the first pic shows that the power leds are working and on. right? so thats means theres power. and that means that the jfp1 pins are working since both the power sw and power leds go into that same exact spot. in the 2nd pic it shows the power leds and power sw plugged into jfp1. the power leds are working but the power sw isnt. i honestly dont know what to do. ive been stumped, and just now ive tried a different powersupply and it still worked. im starting to lean onto the power button being the man holding me down here.
