I'm currently using the Thermaltake core V71 case and the asrock z97 extreme four and my power button seems to only put the computer into sleep mode once. The power button itself does not seem defective. If i put the computer into sleep manually via windows and then press the power button to wake the computer up from sleep it does work. Also if i hold down the power button while the computer is on at any time it does shut down. However if i press the power button while the computer is on to put it into sleep, it only puts it into sleep mode after i have reset the computer(by hitting the reset button on the case or resetting via windows). if i wake the computer up by hitting the power button and then try to put it to sleep again by using the power button nothing happens. Honestly putting the computer to sleep through windows isn't much of an issue i'm just wondering if there is a fix i have been oblivious to. I have reseated the power button pins multiple times and any help would be appreciated.

Eh? Both pressing the sleep and power button settings are set to put the computer to sleep. Unless there is a more detailed option that i am missing?

Running a Gigabyte Z77x here... recently corrupted BIOS caused me to revisit what I "knew" four years ago - NOTHING can help you other than a setting in your BIOS that specifies (on my board) the OS - for me, the choice is "Other / Windows 8 / Windows 8 WHQL". By selecting the Windows 8 WHQL setting the problem is resolved. Hope you have a similar available option.
