power button push nothing happens on my cpu

i have a foxconn motherboard.when i push power button nothing happens no light ,no cpu fan,no power supply fan.i thought my power supply is dead.then i did paper clip test.so power supply fan start spinning.and i light a led using power supply pins.so i guess power supply is working.

then i start my pc again .nothing happens .then i thought it's power button problem so i test it by shorting power switch pins.and nothing happens.then i did paper clip test while pc is connected to power. then both power supply fan and processor fan start spinning but nothing else.

i'm confused if motherboard is dead then why processor fan work?
please tell my what do think the issue is .thanks you

Check if the power button connection to the motherboard is fine. Do you see LED turned 'ON' on your motherboard?

yes connection is fine.even if it's not i also connect power pins together to see if power buttons has some problems.

Check for continuity, pressing it several times, to see that it gets power each time.
check the plugs at the other end.
