My Dell desktop only has a small HD and I was hoping to install a second but upon opening it up I see there is only one power cable with a sata end and that's to my existing HD.Is there a way to split this single cable to feed two HD's or is one all that its meant to feed and that's why its a single cable. There is space for a second HD which is why I was hoping I could fit a second one but now im not so sure. There is a second sata socket on the motherboard though. What I would need is an adaptor with a female to two male sata cables but I don't think they exist as I cannot search any down.I have molex to 2 sata cables but as my power lead is not a molex this is no good.If I am out of luck is it possible to transfer my existing OS to a new HD and put that in my pc instead

My pc is OptiPlex 760, as I say I don't want to put my OS into another pc, just put it on a larger HD and put that in place of the present one.I have searched info on cloning my OS but wasn't sure if that is what i need to do, don't want to try something and end up with nothing that works. My OS is genuine activated Microsoft Windows 7 install
