Hello everyone, this is a question mostly for my brother and friends build.

I have a over kill power supply, at 1050watts, I run a GTX 970 and am looking to upgrade to a Gtx980Ti soon.

I like helping out my brothers and friends so I want to give away my gtx 970, Though there is a twist.

Both my brother and Friend, have a Gtx760 card, i believe both are the SC version, so I was wanting to give my 970 to who ever wanted it, take their 760 and give it up to the other person so they could sli it.

They both run a 650 Watt PSU, so here is my questions.

1. Can a 650 PSU handle a 970?
2. Can a 650 PSU handle Sli 760s
3. Will any bridge work for sli ? I Have the Bridge I got with my 970, though I do not no where my brothers Bridge for his 760 went.

Solution
1> yes.
2> No for very long if any OC'ing is involved. 700W or better is recommended.
3> I've never run across any that didn't work on any Nvidia card. The only issue would be if you were using a short one on a pair of cards in slots that were wider than normal apart. As far as power capacity, not an issue. It is strictly for data.

Solution
Everything you've posted is irrelevant without knowing the model numbers of any power supply in question. Some 1000+ watt units can barely provide half their rated power continuously, if at all, while other units rated only for 550w may easily do 600w continuously. Some models are dangerous. Others are highly reliable. Just because the label says a given capacity does not mean the unit can provide it or that it's a safe unit for use with discreet cards or overclocked systems.

A VERY, VERY good 650w unit MAY be able to handle GTX 760 SLI, but it's recommended capacity is 750. A good 650w unit is more than enough for a GTX 970 single card.

Model number and platform are all important as to whether a unit is suitable or not. Make no assumptions when it comes to power supply selection as a bad unit can be the end of your graphics card or motherboard.
