So my computer seems to be having power issues, but not positive if it is a power surge in house, or in computer. Either need a UPS or a new PSU.
2 times now while playing NON demanding games, and once under other conditions it shut down like it had been unplugged.
ONE time I am sure the lights blinked, but for all I know that was caused by the computer. Theories? Or even other ideas for source?
Problem started about 3 weeks ago and has occurred 3 times.
Once while trying to play Metro 2033, tonight while playing Borderlands 2, and I forget the thirds specifics.
AMD 8-core 8350 processor. 4.01Ghz
12GB ram
Asus Sabertooth MB
850W PSU
Windows 7 Pro 64
Thanks in advance

Yes, only MY computer, nothing else, In fact the last time it happened my kid was on his computer in the next room and didn't even notice anything. His computer kept running just fine
The PSU is APOWER brand, 850 watt. AK series, model unknown.

I'd try a new good quality power supply. There is a review of the 850 model that some stated they had 3 or 4 go bad on them.
