Power Limit % in MSI Afterburner

I am overclocking my gpu but I am confused with power limit option of afterburner....

My gpu tdp is 55W (Asus GTX 750 1 GB OC) while maximum utilization is 75W (as per Asus site)...and it do not have any power connectors.

So if I maximize power limit from 100% to 129% ( upto which I can go) what will happen, will it raise maximum power utilization of my card (75W --> 95W) or something like increase utilization from given manufacturer power limit only( 55W earlier --> 75W full utilization) .....

I am asking this because currently my card is getting power from PCI Express 3.0 x 16 slot........which having 75W output capacity ( as per my knowledge I could be wrong) so how extra power will be available to my card if I increase power limit or will I end up with damaging my motherboard ( Intel DB75EN)..

Open up GPUz to the sensors tab, and watch the power limit perf cap line. If you're not getting a PWR indicator, that's green, then there's no need to increase the power limit.

Raising the power limit won't hurt your motherboard, no. The PCIe slot is capable of delivering more power than 75 watts. Besides, that's also limited in the bios...it's unlikely that you'll see a difference, even if you raise it, as the stock bios versions limit it at 75w.

Continuous draw of more than 75 watts from the PCI express slot will damage the motherboard, especially cheaper ones.
The RX480 was well known for this issue and it was the main reason that it got new drivers and a 8 pin cable instead of 6 pin from most manufacturers (founders edition came with 6 pins and was discovered to draw more than 75 watts from the pci slot).
So do your research on the power limit but don't apply any solution that would put more than 75 watts load on your pci express slot.

The 480 damaged motherboards because it was pulling over 120 watts from the PCIe slot (AMDs bios is setup quite a bit different than NVIDIA). On NVIDIA, the GPU he was asking about, whether the GPU has a 6 pin or 8 pin has no bearing on power draw from the PCIe slot. That's all limited by bios settings. On a 750, it's likely set to draw just the 75 watts from the PCIe slot. He'd have to customize his bios to change that.
