You can boot your PC by shorting Power pins on mother board - http://www.manualslib.com/manual/453998/Gigabyte-Ga-Z68xp-Ud5.html?page=28#manual

this is your motherboard

in right bottom corner you can see square with bunc of differente colors, so for your PC to boot you need to short together 2 pins that are on top of the RED color 3 and 4 pin in the colored square from top left. So you take a screw driver and you touch those 2 pins for 1 second and the PC will boot

Here i made a picture which pins to short, these 2 in the yellow box (3 and 4 from the top left)

If you have a modern, gaming style motherboard, many have power buttons on the boards themselves. If that's the case, just remove the power connectors from the board and use that.

Honestly, a new cheap case would do the job for you, unless the jumpers on the board are broken. That would be a permanent fix.
