  1. Seems like I have to keep setting power saving mode to 4 hours but after a while Win 10 just turns off the screen and enters sleep mode
  2. There's a discussion of this problem, 90 posts, at this thread and I am concerned because well it started two years ago and continues up to the near present and there is no solution offered.
  3. I found this resource written by Lance Cobain but I've never heard of him or the web site and don't want to start downloading from there without know if I don't know what I'm getting in to.
  4. My mouse cursor keeps resetting randomly. When it resets the cursor looks like the radiator of a car. It's interesting at first but after a while you just wonder why the cursor won't work.

These are pretty basic functions for the OS to be getting wrong and I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the matter.

As far as the power settings, have you tried creating a custom power plan, rather than just changing the default settings? https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/43655-create-custom-power-plan-windows-10-a.html
Thank you for the tip, no I haven't tried that yet, and did not know about it as an option. And after bothering me for several days the problem has mysteriously vanished (for now). The PC was running for long periods today with me doing nothing and the cursor has stayed the same and the system has not gone to sleep without me telling it to. So right now the plan is sit tight, do nothing, and hope for the best. If the problem comes back I'll try to customize the power plan.
