Power supply help

Solution
yea that's a good point, since I have an electronics background I sometimes forget about replacing parts like a fan in a PSU where you need to be a bit careful. IMO the budget EVGAs are not the highest quality but are just fine for normal / office pc use where you are only using 1/2 or less of the rated wattage - the quality issues only come out when you approach the capacity of the unit.

If you want to attempt a replacement, there's a good (albeit old) guide here and these days you don't need to take out the PCB (the dangerous part) and most fans are connected via a connector you just have to break the glue that secures the connector.

That being said, there are some good deals with seasonic units on newegg, the S12II...

The model is EVGA 500w W1 and yeah im pretty sure its the fan.... How long do I have to wait to open the power supply without getting injured by the electricity. Another thing how long do I have to replace the fan on the power supply, don't want any other pc parts getting ruined ;3

Meh specs are
Gtx 1060 6 gb
i5-6500k
16 gb ram
Pretty sure thats all you need to know..

So all I have to do is buy one of the fans you recommended me and replace the fan and I should be fine?

No,pretty sure psu fan is 2pin fan when the ones he linked have more pins means you needing to replace the fanconnector. There are fans that would work, but these are more expensive. Money you spend on such a thing is better spend on a new psu.If you don't mind rplacing the connector is that of course up to you.

That said do i mean a fan like this when i say what would immidiately work,
https://www.amazon.com/Gdstime-3000rpm-Hydraumatic-Bearing-Brushless/dp/B00N1Y4D32/ref=sr_1_8?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1518428109&sr=1-8&refinements=p_n_feature_keywords_three_browse-bin%3A5462061011
this one has the connector mostly used within psu's.
