yea that's a good point, since I have an electronics background I sometimes forget about replacing parts like a fan in a PSU where you need to be a bit careful. IMO the budget EVGAs are not the highest quality but are just fine for normal / office pc use where you are only using 1/2 or less of the rated wattage - the quality issues only come out when you approach the capacity of the unit.

here and these days you don't need to take out the PCB (the dangerous part) and most fans are connected via a connector you just have to break the glue that secures the connector.
That being said, there are some good deals with seasonic units on newegg, the
S12II 520W is $30 ($45 w/ a $15 MIR) which is not bad at all!
