Question Power supply makes a buzzing noise on start up

Hi,
As the title says, every time I start up my computer, my power supply makes a loud buzzing noise for 5-10 minutes where it then just disappears for the rest of the time it’s turned on. This noise only occurs when my computer has been turned off for a long time. If I turned my computer off after the noise had disappeared and then immediately back on again, it wouldn’t happen. However, if I were to leave my computer for an hour or two and then turn it on, the noise would be back. This has been happening for around half a year so I don’t think it’s that dangerous, but I just want to double check what it means.

I think it's temperature related.

It might be something as simple as clearance. Something is vibrating against something else and when it heats up something moves and it goes away.

If it's been going on for a half a year....I wouldn't be super concerned.....although if it bugged me I would change the PSU.

That is an older PSU made by Corsair. I highly suggest getting the newer CX gray labeled unites, as people reported those old green labeled PSU's having problems.

Plus, being that the CX430 is old in general and it's much past it's 3 year warranty, it's time for an upgrade.
