Power Supply Mineral Oil Failure

Today I decided to try and make a new system build with mineral oil. The computer was working fine outside of the mineral oil on the test bench but when I happen to put the power supply in and turn it on, it decided to fail. I asked around and someone mentioned a cable that detected if it was underwater and it done a fail-safe shutdown. I am not sure why it does this but I understand it is completely my fault that I wasn't aware of the issues that could cause. I tried drying off the outside and letting it sit by a fan and outside with my when I was doing yard work but it still fails to turn on. No where on google tells what to do about it but I may be just putting in the wrong search terms. I am wondering what I would be able to do with it.

I am using a XFX pro1050W black edition fully modular

What, exactly, was put into the mineral oil? Hard drives? Optical drive? There are no "underwater detection cables" on PC power supplies, so whoever told you that was filling your head with nonsense.

Putting a power supply, motherboard, CPU, memory or even the cooling fans in mineral oil should not cause an immediate failure of any kind if done correctly. Putting a hard drive or optical drive in there, could definitely cause some issues and if that were done could definitely contribute to the failure of your power supply.

Also, not using the correct oil, would absolutely create an issue.
