Good day to everyone!

Is the PSU compatible with my build?
I'm new to building PC's so any help is appreciated!

PSU: Corsair VS450w
CPU: Intel i5-6500
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1050 Ti Windforce OC
MoBo: MSI B150M Mortar Arctic
Memory/RAM: Kingston Hyper X Fury DDR4 (2133 mhz) (1×8GB)
Don't know if this is needed but,
Monitor: Asus VC239H

Hey there,

The PSU will be sufficient for your build, even with added storage drives etc. However I would look for a better/beefier PSU if you plan on upgrading in the future or doing some overclocking.

That will power your build, but I would never buy one. Not even 80plus certified and is literally the cheapest, lowest quality psu corsair sells as far as I am aware. Are you in the US? If not what is your budget for a psu in your currency? I will see if there is anything better around the same price.

^ to be fair the vs is 80+ rated , it would be bronze but it fails spec simply because its 220-240v only as opposed to full switching.so he's definitely somewhere European or Asia/India based.

I'm not sure where I stand with the vs series in all honesty , on paper it has similar specs to the old 2012 CX (which 'should' be the better unit) which I still don't think belong in tier 4 on the old list.
The vs has an extra years warranty , & a 40c load rating as opposed to the 30c rating on the CX.
It actually has better specs.
I know it's a very very similar cwt platform but with some seriously sketchy jun-fu caps which probably explains the inherently lacklustre voltage regulation compared to the cx (which strangle was always right up there on voltage regulation & ripple)

Vs = budget unit , absolutely mediocre quality , average at best voltage regulation , at least can do full rated wattage at 40c.
Sometimes though its the best choice out of a bad bunch if choice is severely limited
