My power supply randomly loses power and causes my pc to hard reset (from gaming, straight to black, then restart in a second). It usually happens after something loads (overwatch comp game/launching any game) but it will also happen when im just on my desktop. I checked many forums and reddit posts but none of them helped. I checked my temperatures and they were fine, it wasn’t a virus, and I even went to check my event logs. I set my cpu usage to 65% max. which made my psu lose power less often but it still happens. I can’t really afford to buy a new one. Does anyone have any fixes?

CPU: i7-8700k (not overclocked)
GPU: GTX 1070
PSU: Corsair 650W
Motherboard: MSI Z370 SLI-PLUS
RAM: 1 16GB stick of DDR4 2400ghz

My canned random reboot Rant
Random reboots are usually caused by the PSU, the RAM or software AND in that order of likely-hood.
PSU - If you can borrow/swap a PSU for testing. sibling/friend you can swap out the PSU and each system will be testing the other.
RAM - run the system with one stick of RAM see if stability returns if not Test all the RAM with memtest 86 for three passes or overnight. if you get no 0 errors after more than three passes the ram is good. with the random reboots I would suggest running this test after the PSU swap or after the PSU has been cleared.
Software - Drivers or other issues can cause reboots. Boot to a linux distro on a USB drive. mint linux will boot to memtest86. you can run the OS from the USB and...

end canned rant

if you suspect the PSU you will need a spare temporarily to test with.
