Power Supply Suggestions for a fresh build

I've just ordered a new board and CPU off of Newegg (Z68 Gigabyte UD7 and a 2600k). This is going to be my 4th 2600k build so far. I'd just like some input on previous experience with certain brands of PSU's. The main company I'm looking to purchase is Seasonic. They have two great PSU' that's I'm trying to decide between. The X 760 and the X 850. I realize the 760 will be more than enough to power my complete rig, it just kind of bothers me running at load all the time. I'll be overclocking the CPU to around 5ghz. The GPU's I'm using are two EVGA 570 SSC's overclocked to 900mhz core. Any input on experiences with Seasonic or if anyone wants to convince me to use a different brand I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Should have gone with an i5 2500k (assuming this is a gaming build). Anyways, although the lovely Seasonic X-760 will be enough, the recommendation is to get hold of a 850+ watt PSU. Thus, get the Seasonic X-850.

Now there is no negatives to point out for any Seasonic PSU. May be a value war wherein the equally awesome Corsair AX 850 is available for lesser price.

It's about a 10$ difference between the two. Think for 10$ I'd rather just go with the OEM.

I only use Seasonic PSUs.

If you're gonna SLI, then I guess I would go with the 850w.

If you can, return that 2600K for a 2500K and save $100. Claim it's defective or something.

We here recommend the X4 955 BE over the X4 965 BE wherein difference is hardly 20$. Here it is 100$. The only two things the i7 2600k offers above the i5 2500k are HT and an extra 100 MHz on stock clock. HT is useless in games. And the extra 100 MHz counts to nothing. Both chips can attain similar overclock levels. So it is wise to save the extra 100$ or Invest in some other component. No one here hates the 2600k. We just believe it has a different purpose.

As mentioned above, games do not take advantage of HT. If that is the primary purpose of your PC, then you can save around $100 and simply buy the i5-2500k.

If I were to build a new PC now I would buy the i7-2600k, but that's because I will be using it to encode videos and there are programs that can take advantage of HT.

Well, if you were looking to save money, there's always the non-modular Corsair TX850 V2 850W, but judging from your build, you, or your clients, have money to burn, so stick with the x850 Seasonic.

And this thread isn't about the 2600k vs 2500k, no matter how much your nerd instincts make you want to prove how right you are about everything.

The AX1200 would be complete overkill. I don't think I'll ever Tri SLI. I figured I should put up a picture of the final build. I ended up going with a few different parts than originally planned.

Nice. What cpu cooler is that? And is that a fan for the ram? Never seen that before. How does that even mount?

Cleaned up the wires inside and added the AirFlow Pro kit to my Dominator. The fan on the ram is the Fan that comes with the Dominator GT kit. The CPU cooler is the Zalman CNPS9900 MAX-R.
