Ok first before I say anything, I am not sure where to post this in the forums. I'm assuming it is under the components section because this has to do with computer parts.

So today I went to turn on my computer which I built myself about 1 - 1 1/2 years ago. When I turned it on, nothing started besides the power supply. The graphics card is powered by the power supply so I could hear the fans spinning inside on the GPU. The motherboard was not powered and neither were the case fans. My question is, what has happened to my computer? I'm starting to come to the conclusion that maybe it is my motherboard? I don't know... I need help. I tried re connecting the power supply cable into the motherboard but that didn't help.

Solution
try another power supply you unit may have failed inside. if it does it may still have some of the rails working but some voltage for the mb may be missing.
