Hi
First time posting so here it goes...
I bought the BeQuiet! Dark power pro power supply unit 650w. Recently my pc has been shutting down unexpectedly quite a lot. Ive only finished building this pc last year in november. I am still quite new to all of this. Apparently motherboards take in 3.3, 5 or 12volts however in CPUID my motherboard is only taking in 1.010v apparently in core voltage. I do not know if this is correct but if anyone could help that would be great. Thanks.

The spec is:

Asus Rampage V Extreme Motherboard
intel core i7-5820k
16GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 970
powered by a BeQuiet! dark power pro 650w
2 x SSD's
2 x HDD's

Yeh ive been doing research and found it could either be the PSU or the CPU, components overheating and a few other things. It cant be temps because im always monitoring the temps and there always below 40C. Could it be that 650w isnt enough power?

650 should be plenty of power. I suspect faulty ram or power supply. Try to run memtest 86 and see if that comes up with any errors. If it doesn't, do you have another psu you can try installing the system?

You should also run a virus scan with malwarebytes anti malware. Let me know the results.

Okay thanks for your help. I'll keep you posted

So i used memtest86 and left it on all night even morning, come back from work and found no errors and 7 passes. I also download HWINFO to check temps etc but i cannot find any temp readings anywhere. I contacted the BeQuiet! company and am going to be sending the power supply unit to them. I'l just post here if there were any faults with PSU just if your curious. but in the meantime is there anything else i could do to get closer to the root of the problem?
and btw thanks for your help guys I do appreciate it.

I also ran the ASUS Pc diagnostics and everything came out ok. did the memory test using this app and came out successfull. So its def got to be my PSU then right?

Just thought I'd leave an update.. So i sent the PSU off to bequiet! and they sent me tons of papers of all the tests they did and the results and the PSU passed everything.
So...Im thinking of sending the motherboard to be checked and maybe the RAM too
