I brought an Evga Geforce Rtx 3050 (8 pin power cord) card as an upgrade since it was not overpriced recently. The issue I have is what power supply, (preferably Evga, but I will take any high wattage, reliable psu that will last for years), I need to buy to upgrade/replace the OEM PSU. The motherboard is a
07JNH0 A02
The power supply from the sticker says
CN-0V9J6H -47985
2AB-1039-A02
DP/N -0V9J6H
The current gpu I am replacing is a Zotac 660 (2 6-pin power cords), and while I have seen 6 pin to 8 pin adaptors, I waited months on a waiting list and do not desire to fry my new GPU.

That's a decent price on a good unit, but the problem wasn't the price target. The problem was, that unit was not on sale at the time earlier recommendations were made. Otherwise, it would have been among those recommendations.

While the price history on PCPP shows it having been at that price since early April, what it DOESN'T show is that prior to this week it was only at that price with a 20 dollar main in rebate and I generally don't include MIR prices if I recommend a specific unit. Lists, I'm not going through those to eliminate every unit with one, but if I recommend a single unit, it will be at the price without the mail in rebate even if one is included, which just makes it even more appealing for those willing to send it in. But yes, the Leadex III units are pretty good.

However, for ten bucks more I believe the 90 (Vs 80) dollar RMx (2021 model) is a significantly better unit, and has a 3 year longer warranty that the Leadex III.

Right, but you are apparently not listening to what I said.

I said it was NOT that price, BEFORE this week. Not without a rebate, because, I looked at that unit and saw the rebate. Yes, it is that price now, WITH the rebate, but before it was not.

IF it HAD been, it WOULD have been included or even been preeminent in the list of recommendations. Also, keep in mind, the prices here in the US fluctuate WAY more than they tend to do in the UK, most EU countries, Canada and Aus. Elsewhere, no idea, because they are not large tech markets that we normally deal with regularly. So, from one day to the next, the price on the best available unit will possibly flip flop two or three times within hours depending on how long a sale is going on for or even if they sell out of an item.

So, bottom line, if the OP hasn't bought one yet, it's a good option if they want to save ten bucks but personally I'd probably recommend spending the extra money for the RMx. It does better in testing. It has fewer faults. And it seems to, even on the last iteration, be capable of sustaining higher peak spikes than the Leadex III. But, the Leadex III is still better than about 90% of it's competitors in any given price range. So when the price is at a reasonable level, it is definitely a good option. Nobody is going to regret buying one any more than anybody ever regretted buying an EVGA G2. Any high quality platform that has a good implementation is worthwhile if the price is right.
