Question Power supply upgrade and graphics card for Dell optiplex 755 Desktop

Hello, i have dell optiplex 755 with q9400, 6gb ram
.. and i would like to buy a new graphics card "gt 610 alright now", "HD 7850 or GT 730 in the future", but the problem here is the power supply.. it's 280w and dell power supply.. so i would like to upgrade it to +80 plus power supply 400w.. will me be able to do that? , and can i install this graphics cards in the mobo? , thanks.

although a lot depends on which form of 755 you've got

You'll have no problems if you've got the tower, and you have to consider form and size if you've got smaller ones

80+ is an efficiency rating only.

So, looking at the pictures Traditore provided, you for sure have the narrower "desktop" version and not the wider "mini tower" version?

Then you'll need a "TFX" power supply.

Also you'll need a "low profile" or "low profile ready" graphics card.

TBH, I wouldn't bother with this.
