what's the optimum power supply for the following rig:
MB: Gigabyte 60x (815EP)
CPU: 1GHZ intel
CDRW: Plextor 16/10/40
CDROM: SONY (hopefully a DVD soon)
IBM 60 GXP 40GB
Radeon 64MBDDR
US ROB modem 56
SB LIVE
PS: i have a good one from my old PC a 200Watt..it worked like a horse ror 3 years..even added the CDRW to it..IS IT enough for this new rig...max one i could find is 300watt??

and oh...concerning the CPU fan..is the one that comes with the boxed processor any good??
I DO NOT INTEND ON OVERCLOCKING A THING...CUZ I HAVEN'T GOT THE SLIGHTEST IDEA HOW...

Yeah- you'd better ditch that 200W P/S. Get at least a 250, preferably a 300w. As for the fan that comes with the boxed chip- it's good to go. Intel wouldn't put a cheap HSF on their processors.

I second that opinion. A 250w should be barely sufficient, but I would get a 300w to be safe.
