Here is what happened. I was plugging an HDMI cable from my TV to my PC. I was reaching from underneath the table to shove the cord up to the computer, when the cable hit the back of the computer around the PSU. Sparks shot out and the HDMI was charred. I stupidly decided that they cable was still usable and put it into my GPU. Immediately my computer display shut off, and my gpu fan started going at 100%. I unplugged the HDMI and turned the computer off. When I turned it back on, the fan started going at 100% and my motherboard emitted a beep after a few seconds. I know for a fact that they gpu is dead, but I am wondering if anything else in the computer will of been damaged. Do you guys think that anything else was damaged. As for the tv, the tv main-board was blown and we had to buy a new one. The surge also went through the tv and killed my Roku and cable box. So anyways does anyone know if my computer is still damaged. Anyone have experience with this?
