I'm at the end of my rope with this so I've come to you guys for help! Please help a girl out.
History- During Android development, I had a mouse, keyboard and a phone connect to my USB hub and to the laptop.
Issue- One morning, the components on the hub had stopped working. The LEDs on the hub were still on (and still turn on) but nothing worked. Tried connecting keyboard/mouse direct to the USB ports, nothing. I kept getting 'Power surge on the USB port' when I tried connecting anything and ALSO at random times.
What I tried:
Windows Troubleshoot-er- Hardware troubleshoot. Nada!
Windows Device Manager- Uninstalling, reinstalling, disabling, enabling drivers. Nothing seems amiss in the Device Manager.
Driver re-installation- Pulled off another similar device and tried installing the whole shebang. Didn't work.
Factory reset- Nada! Didn't work.
Laptop(s) model: VOYO Vbook V3 PRO- Core i5
Funny thing:
I managed to somehow do this to a second laptop of the same model we had sitting around.
Help please!!
