Power switch of the pc case doesnt work

Hi eveyone,

I just built up my PC.

Case: Darkbase 700
Mobo: Maximus X Hero
CPU: Not here yet
GPU: Not inserted yet

I wired everything and wanted to test if the PC turns on (spinning fans, case LED, Mobo LED, etc.)
So far when turning on the PSU the mobo starts lighting. The power switch of the case shows no sign of living, fans remain off as well as any LED.
I have plugged both PSU cable 2x12 and the the one close to the CPU as well as the PWR, Reset button etc. to the mobo.

My question, is it even possible to start or do I need a CPU (i dont want to boot just turn stuff on). How can I check if I fried something? How can I test the cases functionality?

Wait till you get all of your components before trying everything out.

The thing is, that I only have 7 day to report a DOA - so if something is not working, I need to report it until friday next week. I wont have the CPU before Saturday.
