Looking for a way to Fix Power Supply on Seagate Backup Plus 2TB USB 3.0 Desktop
The HDD has always worked fine. I stored the HDD [with an identical one], for a month or so, nobody touched either. when I went to use them again, the first one is the same as ever, but the second on cannot get power. I tried different power adapters and USB cables but it's dead.

i noticed that, in this model, the power supply is connected to a separate unit that connects to the disk enclosure, and the power actually plugs into the HDD section. I am wondering if the fault is in the power supply unit, not the disk itself. I tried to find if I can just get the power port as a part but came up blank.

Do you think i can remove the disk/s on the enclosure and stick them in another enclosure?

Maybe the connection is not tightly plugged in between drive and power adapter

You could try to use the working power adapter with the non working one HDD.

Or just connect the non working HDD with a desktop PC, using the normal SATA connections

if the HDD is not powering up in a PC, the HDD could be faulty. Removing the transient voltage diodes (TVS) could revive it. (Be sure no over voltage can happen while diodes)
