Could you guys please help me choose between these two?

1. PowerColor AXR9 270 2GBD5-TDHE/OC (Radeon R9 270 2GB 256bit DDR5)

2. MSI N750TI-2GD5/OC (GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB 128bit GDDR5)

They're priced about the same, with about $5 difference in the price on two stores.

I know that the R9 270 is miles ahead in performance, but the problem is, my new PSU (Antec VP450P) has only one PCI-E power connector. The Powercolor card needs two. I could use an adapter for the second PCI-E connector, but still the total wattage of the PSU is just 450W, and I have three HDDs and about 4 x 120mm fans for ventilation, plus two USB HDDs and a USB DVD-RW plugged in a lot of the time.

Will the PSU support the card in the long run?

I also have doubts about the R9 270 architecture at this point. It's basically a rebranded HD7870 according to the reviews, while the 750Ti is based on the spanking new Maxwell architecture. Does this mean that the AMD card perform worse on upcoming DX12 games like Fallout 4?

Also, How good is the Powercolor brand? On the newegg page for the item, I saw several negative reviews regarding overheating and failure of Powercolor cards. Does it make sense to go for the MSI brand quality even though performance is a lot lower?

Should I underclock the card permanently, at least till I get a better PSU, to reduce the load? An online PSU calculator recommended a 313W PSU.
