OK, I've gone through the search results, with many similar problems but none quite the same.
Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro AC
Speakers: Edifier MR3 Powered (Front Left & Right)
SUB: Polk Audio PSW111 Powered sub
The motherboard has a C/Sub 3.5mm output.
The sub has two RCA inputs, with one designated as LFE.
I used an adapter cable, with a 3.5mm stereo jack into the C/Sub port on the motherboard and an RCA jack to the sub.
The sub sounds as it's supposed to in the Windows Sound Control Panel. All three of the speakers test fine. However, when playing audio or video files, the sub is silent. I've tried with three different players with no results.
I've gone through the Windows sound settings and the sub pretty much works every time. I've disabled all of the other speakers. All the cables are brand new, as are the speakers.
Any ideas out there?
