I posted a speed issue I was having on another thread, but now it seems to be a powerline issue and wanted to post it here to see if anyone had any insight.
Long story short, I had TP-Link powerline adapters helping me make an internet connection (via a second) router to my office about 100 yards away. All was well except the download speed. I was told to try different plugins with the adapter, which I did, but no increase in speed. So today, I tried to go to another room with that adapter and now the adapters no long read each other. (I guess).
Once the adapter I was using in different plugins gave me "unidentified network" , I knew something wasn't right. So, I tried to pair it up again, got the same thing. I got out a brand new adapter, paired it up and got the same thing.
I have all three lights on both adapters (the main one and the paired one) solid green. On my laptop, I get a green light and the amber light blinks for a while then goes off completely.
If I use that same cord and plug it into the router directly and connect to my laptop, all works fine.
Other adapters in the house have no issues. It seems like any new one I try to pair is having issues.
Anyone else run into this problem? Is there a fix?
