i recently bought a Gigabyte R9 270 OC edition and it requires 2 6 pin connector.
i have Dell Precision T3500 which has 1 six pin connector so i used Molex cable to made the other one six pin connector.
so after using a while i the GPU suddenly started giving off display and no return i checked if there is a problem with the driver but drivers are updated and no other issue.
The GPU shutdown randomly no matter i'm gaming or just doing some desktop work even sometimes at the start of the window.
i first thought it's a problem with the GPU but i checked it in my friends PC and it's working fine..
Don't know if it's problem with my 6 pin cables or PSU or my cables are short.
Right now i am using Geforce 7300GS.. with no issues

How many watts is your psu rated at. It might not be able to supply enough power the your video card causing it to crash

525 Watts 80+ Silver
PC is Dell Precision T3500 Workstation

does it have a rating plate telling you how may amps at 12v it can supply? They normally have enough plugs if they can power it, not having enough tells you something. In this particular case though it could be a workstation thing, and them not thinking that it#d ever be needed.

i just realized that the molex connector i used to connect my one 6 pin connector has one yellow wire short.. and i think it's the matter? What do you say?

Thanks everyone it was the issue of short molex cable i changed the cable and the card is working more than fine :)
