FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AUSTIN, TX, June 22, 2005

UNIgames has just published Living Legends, the new superhero
role-playing game from writer/artist Jeff Dee.

Living Legends is the sequel to Villains & Vigilantes, one of the
industry's earliest superhero role-playing games. Living Legends
features point-based character creation with the option of random
generation, over 80 unique super powers with an extensive array of
enhancement and limitation options, and a fast paced and playable game
system. The 160-page book includes a beautiful color cover and black &
white interior illustrations by Jeff Dee.

"Living Legends uses a different game system than V&V, but continues the
V&V world setting and characters," said Mr. Dee from his office in
Texas. "That's why we're calling it a 'sequel'. I'm thankful for the
support of the V&V fan community over the years, without whom this new
game would not have been possible."

In less than 48 hours, Living Legends has risen to become the best
selling superhero RPG product on RPGNow.

Because we all love playing the hero whose sole power is "High Range
Radio Hearing"...through a device.

The villains in my game quailed in fear at the mention of...Walkman
Man!

Yeah. If its anything like the playtest files I saw long long ago, I'm kinda
meh about it. None of the charm or style of V&V....;/

What I love as a GM is randomly rolling up villains. For players the
answer was simple. Roll up three characters, take the one you like
best. Or just pick your powers from the list.

Note, incidentally, that you couldn't actually roll up a character
like that. The best you can do is Heightened Senses and you could
create a pretty damn amazingly formidable character with nothing but
Heightened Senses since there was no limit except the gm's tolerance
to the bonuses you could get from HS.

Er...in V&V that is.

Congratulations, Jeff! When will a printed version be available
(either through RPGNow or whatever other source)? And how's the quality
of the RPGNow print-on-demands?

If you'd spent even 10 seconds looking at the demo PDF, you'd see that
while it's mostly point-buy, it also has random-roll tables.

I don't even know where to start with this. If you're going to lie
without bothering to do the slightest trace of research, why go for
something so trivial as character creation, why not accuse it of being
written entirely in Ancient Greek, or of being printed (electronically!)
on the flayed skins of human babies?

Also, you might want to talk to someone (offline, in person, not here)
about your... overly-focused... aversion to point-buy systems--despite
them being a newfangled fad of a mere 28 years or so, they're not likely
to go away. You'll probably have to get over it sooner or later.

Obviously it takes more than ten seconds. Can you randomly generate
characters from start to finish?

I have six design driven superhero games.

Look at the table of contents. Stats, skills, powers, all have random
tables. READ, man, *READ* before you say these things!

Good for you! I have three random-roll superhero systems on my
shelves, and could probably find more. So what? Your reaction is still
excessive.

Today! I'm about to post a press release about it.

Honestly? I hear good things, but I can't say for sure until I get mine.
I was hoping to receive it in the mail today (sob!).

About the same as books produced throughough the last decade, and including
this year through regular printing depending on the quality of the beginning
document--not full color spritzed best of the industry, but very nice.

Yep, I just got my first copy in the mail, and it's terrific. I'd have a
hard time telling this apart from any store shelf mass produced book.

Hah! If that was the problem, at least I could yell at him to go faster ;-)

But it's cool, I'm all beter now.
