Question prefferable HDD for gaming storage

Hello.

I have a pc that i wanted to upgrade its storage, and i intend to use that storage for games like COD MW 2019 and COD MW II.
after did a bit research, ive concluded that :

1. SSD are the best type of storage, but incredibly expensive
2. Im interested in WD's HDD. especially the "special's" ones like WD purple or black.

and after researching the price, WD purple is more cheaper than black. but WD purple is intended for CCTV storage.
after i did research, there was two opinions, one that did not prefer the WD purple for PC HDD, and the second one that did prefer it.
so, to ask any opinion if WD purple is compatible for my gaming storage ? or i just go with the black ones ?

Perf wise you probably won't see a diff.

The black has a better warranty.
