So I built a pc for my wife and I had no issues booting and installing windows. Even started downloading games for her. Well it randomly shut itself off. Went into the preparing automatic repair and before that can do anything it shuts down again and starts the repair sequence again and keeps shutting down before anything happens. It also doesn't allow me to get to the advance setup menu. But I can go in to bios just fine. Also outside of bios when it is in the repair loop the screen splits.

Ryzen 5 3600
Noctua L9 cooler

Msi b550 carbon(wifi)
500gb aorus 4.0 m.2
2070 super founders edition
750 evga psu
Lian li o11 dynamic

No oc done

Here are two photos and a video(bottom link) of issue.

can you take a photo of the screen split? So i can see what you mean, I should have asked before.
upload it to an image sharing website and show link here.

i don't know if MSI motherboard have Boot Over ride, i think its 2nd time I looked through this today - https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/mb/E7C90v1.1.pdf
if it does exist its either on boot screen or Save & Exit. It lets you boot off USB without changing boot priority.

try removing some ram and boot with 1 stick and see if its any better.
So you only built it today? Did you update bios on motherboard? You probably don't need the beta as its for Series 5 CPU.

so the split screen isn't really the logon screen, its just a remanent of a previous action that GPU shouldn't be showing still.
I am guessing - looks like a graphics card problem of some kind as it should have flushed those from memory and off the screen.
might explain the sudden restart, that seems to happen a lot with gpu errors.
I might be wrong but it is a graphical glitch of some kind, and not one I seen windows do before.

Seen that many many times over the years. It's a sync issue. New video cable (that does not exceed the maximum length called out by the specs) with NO adapters of any kind in the line and make damn sure that both ends are plugged in TIGHT. If he's using HDMI, loose connectors are the most common issue. I never have like that connector.
