press any key to boot from CD doesn't respond

hey guys i have this problem ' when i boot from CD of windows 8.1 and it prompts me to " press any key from CD " it doesn't work , i pressed every key there is to press , it doesn't proceed to booting from CD , it's a usb keyboard , the thing is i booted the SAME EXACT CD WITH THE SAME EXACT USB KEYBOARD 10 times before ? i tried putting it in another usb port , nothing , enabling usb emulation and legacy usb support ' and it didn't work , reset my bios multiple times usjng clear cmos jumper , also didn't work , so i gave up and bought a ps2 keyboard , it also didn't work , can this be a problem with my motherboard ? please help me , the weird thing is , the usb keyboard worked trillion times flawlessly before when booting , why now ? please help .

that is a strange one. Can you still boot on windows? If so, try installing from windows.

If the PS/2 kb doesn't work, then either the BIOS or the motherboard is crippled.
