Pressing Ctrl Problem in windows 8

when I press Ctrl key it mutes my sound and when pressing it again it unmutes it. How can I remove it? TIA

Have you install any keyboard software?
Try uninstalling the keyboard

Follow the steps.
Go to Device Manager, expand Keyboard then right-click on the Keyboard and select Uninstall.
Restart the computer.

Use the on-screen keyboard and check if the issue is there also.
Press the Window + R keys and type osk and hit Enter.
Check if the issue persists.
Which computer model do you have?
Have you dropped liquid on the keyboard?
It could happen that audio app could have remapped some keys on your keyboard.
Look in the properties menu of the app that controls your audio.
