Pretty decent laptop and low fps in games.

Hello.
I got laptop hp pavilion i5 6300hq 8gb ram ge force gtx950m 4gb. In games like a mafia 2, dead island, skyrim my laptop reaches max 20-25 fps in high/ultra settings. According to official requiriments those games should run 100-120fps on my configuration.
Power setings in my laptop on high performace, nvidia setings - use app settings.

What my be wrong with my laptop?

I don't think anything is wrong with your laptop. A GTX 950M running 1080p and ultra settings just isn't going to perform very well. Check out the game benchmarks in the link below. You will see that most games require lowering the resolution to get good playable frame rates.

A 950m is like a gtx 750 with some chopped perfomance and ddr3 vram.Its decent for 720p,but a no go most modern games at 900p and above.Lower your settings and your resolution.

Yes but the point is when i start game it (mafia 2, dead island) it runs in 60-100fps on ultra then after 4-5 min it drops down to 7-20 than again to 60 for few minutes. Laptop is new, gpu temp is ok i checked that. With lower setings is exactly the same.

I think its normal,it depends on how intensive is a scene,for an example an open map with many things to render like trees building humans etc is much more gpu intensive than a room with some small objects.
