Question Pretty sure dead PSU.

PC shut off while playing a game. Went to turn it back on and the lights flickers with a clicking noise. then RAM turned on and stayed lit. But PC had no signs of life.

Tried clearing CMOS but nothing. Didn't think it would but was worth a shot. Tried single RAM in every slot but no go.

Bought a Corsair RM1000x. The PSU i had was a Seasonic Prime 1000 which is 3 years old.

That unit has a 12 year warranty, you should send it off for an RMA.

What was the PSU powering? Please list the specs to your build like so:

include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

What's your GPU? SS Prime has issues with recent high end GPUs (RTX 3000 and newer).
