Prevent brightness auto-adjust in game

As the title says, when in game my monitor chops and changes it's brightness depending on the overall lighting situation, and it causes over-brightness and glare for most of the time. For example, if I look toward the sun, the brightness reduces drastically, but when I switch to cockpit view, the outside scenery goes insanely bright and it affects the visibility hugely.
I have gone into my settings on my Acer monitor (22 inch I believe) and toggled both the DDC/CI and the ACM settings, both of which make no difference.

Please see attached screenshots to understand the problem. The first screen is what the colour and brightness SHOULD be, and the following screens show it after the auto adjustment. If anyone knows how I can solve this issue, that would be very helpful.

Thanks.

If you have any monitor software installed, uninstall it. This auto brightness is mostly found on laptops, and I haven't heard of it for desktops.
Do you have a AMD video card? If yes, then open up CCC, find Vari-Bright, and disble it.

I know it's not a laptop, which is why I said, this auto brightness is mostly found on laptop, but I never heard of desktops doing this.
First reset your monitor back to defaults
Download the latest Nvidia drivers
Uninstall the current driver and restart
Install the new driver you've downloaded, use customize and uncheck GeForce Expreience and check clean install
After new driver is complete, restart, and try again.

Also try, connecting to a different port on the card.
Try a different cable if you have.
Try hooking to your HDTV if it's possible and see if the problem still exist or not
