Specs:
x670 motherboard
3060 ti
XPG core reactor
32GB ram
7800x3d
Issue:
After a week of no use, turning on the pc makes it get stuck on the gigabyte logo with the keybinds underneath to go into bios (max i waited was 5 mins before restart)
Clicking del and other bios shortcuts doesnt do anything, even if spammed pre post
VGA is the only light that stays on
Solutions that has been tried:
multiple restarts at different times
Unplugged pc, held power button for 10s and cleared cmos by both holding the clear cmos button for 10s
and also shorting the clear cmos sticks for 10s
Took out the entire GPU out and plugged the monitor to the motherboard directly and exact same issue happened (doesnt post past gigabyte logo and vga light stays on)
Unplugged and replugged 24pin connector and 4pin cpu connector from the motherboard, Also blew air in case of dust
Pushed in every cable to make sure its seated well, As well as ram
Solution that worked:
As i was writing this i found out that an old SSD i had (over 7years old) was the culprit, unplugging it from the motherboard immediately solved the issue and the PC posts normally now with the other Disks
My assumption is that it had some data that the mobo/cpu needed, but it had died in the week which i hadnt turned on the pc (It had an old windows installation, current windows is on a different newer ssd)
