price drops dropping

Solution
Heck in Canada, the core i5-2500k is still 30 $ more than i5-3570k. So don't count on it, intel is just being a scumbag with prices right now since their is no competition.

But still, their processor are the best right now.
Yeah, I wouldn't count on it.

Also here in Canada...

2008 - I purchased the lowest end Core 2 Quad (Q8200) for $189.

2013 - Lowest end new full quad core Intel CPU... $189!

Every year between, same price!

That's how Intel plays the game. Gouging, because they can. Heck, they even gouge with CPU extensions, like how my $189 quad can't virtualize a 64bit OS, because Intel expected people to pay $40 more for the Q9300 for that...

Sadly, even a used Q9550 or other higher end Core2 Quad still costs over $100, which is not worth it even if you have a socket 775 DDR3 motherboard with a Pentium4 that you could upgrade to a Q9550. May as well buy an Athlon x4 750K and a FM2 motherboard with new features USB3/SATA3/etc and better performance for about the same price...
