When i turn on my pc i get a black screen with primary drive 1 not found, secondary drive 1 not found. press f1 to continue, but when i press f1 the windows xp screen starts loading up then freezes. Tried to re install windows and it got to 100 percent then said it couldnt do it cos it was corrupted. if i go on safe mode an error message comes on so u cant do it that way.

Anybody know what may be wrong or how to fix it? x

Try an OS repair from the OSCD.

Nogo? Try an operating system re-installation.
Neither go? Try switching the Drive port on the motherboard. I tell u this cuz it seems that it'll intermittently recognize the HDD.

Nogo? Try a different HDD. Whatever the outcome is, let us know, & whatever it happens to your pc's or however they are doing performance-wise, do back up on a regular basis.

Carpe Diem!
