Heyhey everyone. I have an ASUS PRIME Z690-P for some time now, and i'm generally satisfied with it, mostly using it for video editing for my work, and for gaming sometimes. My question in TL;DR: Can this motherboard support M.2 NVMe SSD-s in all of it's slots at the same time?
Let me elaborate:
I have 5 data storage right now. Two HDDs, but sadly they became mostly storage-only, as working from them is hard, when you have to edit 3-4 4K videos in mutli-view mode. I have one sata SSD, that one contains things like games, and some video files, that are not that demanding. Also one M.2 Sata SSD, which contains only Windows, and one M.2 NVMe SSD, that always have the actually running project(s), until they can be archived to my HDD, and/or later to my workplace's cloud. So far it worked, but more and more i feel i have to micromanage files between storages to have a flawless work speed. (Also some games are now need a quick SSD). So right now i have one unused m.2 SSD slot on the motherboard. All i found on Asus's webpage, is that they all support PCIe 4.0 x4 mode, yet one of them can't take 22110 sized ones, which is not a problem for me, also that only one of them accept sata ssd, but no other restrictions. I remember my previous motherboard had a restriction like only you can use the M.2 slot if you don't use one of the SATA connectors, also in my GF's pc only one of the slots support PCIe 4.0 mode, but about this motherboard seems like i'm lucky.
I think it will be allright to use two NVMe ssd, and one sata one in it's respective slot, or even later upgrade that one as well to the quicker version, but it's better to ask first. What do you guys think?
As an alternative i know there are expansion cards to use ssd-s in the pcie slots, but first i want to exhaust my options on the motherboard.
Maybe some additional info is that i have an I9-12900KF, as if i remember right, one of the slots are only works with 12th and 13th gen cpus.
Thanks for all the infos you can give guys.
