Or can we from now on just use the current version (I believe it's v29.8). I just noticed that prime95 has now check boxes to turn off AVX, AVX2, and even AVX-512 (for processors that use that instruction). Would running the newer prime95 version with small fft's or blend with AVX instructions technically identical of running the same tests in 26.6? Or did they do any other changes to those test compared to the 26.6? The descriptions in the app for the small fft test is different in both version:
v26.6: Small FFTs (maximum FPU stress, data fits in L2 cache, RAM not tested much)
v29.8: Small FFTs (test L1/L2/L3 caches, maximum power/heat/CPU stress)
Also, I noticed that new new version also has another "smallest" FFTs test:
v29.8: Smalles FFTs (test L1/L2 caches, high power/heat/CPU stress)
How does this one compare to the small FFTs test in 26.6 and 29.9
