Print Server Recommendation

Could someone please recommend a print server box to use with a parallel
printer in a win xp pro peer to peer network?

I'm using a D-Link DB300U. I love it! It has two Parallel ports and
one USB port. It turns out I have a couple of old Laser printers and
one Canon Inkjet printer. They made this box with me in mind. It's not
too bad to set up and it just works. The inkjet printer's ink sensor
doesn't seem to work, but the printer works flawlessly.

I assume you want to access the printers with your ethernet network. If
not, NEVER MIND!

I have up to 12 machines on my network and they all can get to all the
printers.

Oops... typo. That should read "Three dual port and tow single
port, Five total. All from Netgear and all in various stages of
death.

Yeah, things like the 'low ink' warnings depend on bidirectional
communications. Some print servers do it, some don't (and even
somethat SAY they do don't implement it fully enough for things
like ink levels to work like they should).

I have a two-port Netgear print server that has performed flawlessly with an
HPLJ 5L and Epson 440.

I use an HP jetdirect 500x with 3 parallel ports on my network.

It was purchased before XP was out, and it really helped to download the
HP software for manageing printers on the network.

In XP, you use TCP/IP and it helps a lot to use the print server to
actually tell you the TCP/IP address so you can set it up easier.

It works on a mixed network of XP and 98 windows versions. I haven't
put inkjets on, only laserjets.
