Hi,

I need a new printer as my 7 year old one died last night and could do with some recomendations.

Requirements:

- Wireless Printer
- Cheap on ink (Printes lots of sheets per cartrage and isnt to expensive to replace)
- Budget: No more than £140 ~$210
- Prints atleast A4

Other than that im easy. I dont have any brand loyalty and dont mind and all in one job or just a printer.

Thanks,

dsM

have you visited your local electronics retailer or office supply store? or checked out some printers on the website you want to order from? just look for printers which match your requirements.

in general i'd stick with well known brands like lexmark, hp, etc..

all ink cardtridges are outrageous in price. the cheap ones get less prints per cartridge. you can save money by printing on draft quality (less ink used).

If you want lots of output per cartridge, you need a laser. If you don't care about clolor http://www.bing.com/shopping/hp-laserjet-pro-p1102w-printer-b-w-laser/p/322E71A6FE2FC50B0001?q=wireless+color+laser&lpf=0&lpq=wireless%20color%20laser&FORM=EGCA4

Or color http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/HP-LaserJet-PRO-CP1025NW-Wireless-Color-Laser-Printer/5400089/product.html?cid=144207&fp=F&TRACK=BING&mr:referralID=ff7df80b-75c8-11e0-9770-001b2166becc

I find HP lasers to be very sturdy and the cost per page is much less than inkjets. You will find the initial cartridges to be more pricy, but when you add up the cost per page, it's way less.

^+1 get a laser printer. All inkjets are expensive to run. HP/canon are good for lasers, reliable and good quality prints. For inkjets its either Epson or Canon with individual ink cartridges (dont get one with more than 4 colours or it will cost you lots to replace them). all other inkjet brands are poop. I fix printers so i have some idea 😉

if you don't care about color....yes...laser is the way to go. much cheaper per page.

if you do want color....sorry to say but inkjets are what you will probably want.

hp/epson/cannon are all good brands. all printers can be quirky at times and that includes industry leaders. we have a 7 year old hp, 3 year old hp and i know someone with a 2 year old epson.....all work perfectly fine.
