Printer Not Recognized (USB)

I recently acquired a used HP LaserJET P2035.
I tried to set it up on both my PC (Windows 10) and my laptop (windows 7) , both gave me an error message "USB device not recognized" .
How can I get this working ?

Make sure you plug it in USB2 not USB3.

Did you install the drivers before connecting the printer? Where did you find the drivers? From a site like http://www.helpjet.net/files-HP-LaserJet-P2035.html or are you using HP universal drivers?
