Printer prints, but won't scan.

I just bought a Canon Pixma MG2520, and Windows 7 refuses to acknowledge it, and refuses to scan anything. I've tried everything, and nothing is working.

Hi. Have you installed the drivers and scan software for it

Everything has been installed. Windows Fax/Scan claims the scanner can't be detected, but yet it's in there, and Devices/Printers claims that I need to install a WIA driver. It will scan through the Canon utility, "My Secret Garden" but its very difficult to do.
