printer recognition in win2k

I have bought a xerox docuprint C8 and initially it worked fine but after a problem I had the printer replaced and now it will not work in win2k.
I have deleted old drivers and loaded latest but no matter what I do win2k will not recognise the printer as present.
When I try it on my win98 system it recognises and works perfectly.
can anyone tell me the problem with win2k recognition of printers and how to get over this.

Sorry, can't help you buddy. But I was helping a friend install Win2K and later realised that their Docuprint P8 didn't have Win2K drivers! We were so disappointed afterwards.
