Printing from DOS programs from an XP workstation

I am having trouble printing from my DOS based app to a network printer. I am running Windows XP Pro on my workstation. Any suggestions?

You can't. XP prevents DOS programs from accessing the hardware layer which
means DOS can't send anything to the printer.
