When I try to install the hardware, a message shows up
saying "There was aproblem with the hardware."
"An error occurred during the installation of the
device. The specified module could not be found." What
should I do? What is wrong, and what are the steps I can
do to solve this problem. Thanks

What make and model printer are you trying to install here?

It's a Lexmark. Follow Bruce Sanderson's instructions to completely clean
up all traces of any previous installation .... pay particular attention to
steps 14 through 16.

Download a new set of drivers from the Lexmark website at www.lexmark.com.

Install the software BEFORE connecting the printer to the PC.

Cari-

I, too have a prob w/ lexmark.
I have no prob printing, but whenever I remotely connect
to the print 'server' (xp-pro sp2) from my laptop (xp-
home sp1) the 'server' puts up a dialog asking me to
agree to the lexmark terms (i think you call it eula?)

If I agree, it installs a shared printer resource FROM
the laptop on the 'server'!!!
If I don't it nags me a couple of more times!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

-Ron

You need to be an Administrator to accept a EULA. You might try logging on
as THE Administrator (rather than a User with Admin Rights) and try
accepting it that way.

But if I accept, it will create a shared resource on the sharer's pc...
How can I get it to stop nagging me?
