Priorize my computer over any other device

Hello community,

My question today is: ¿Can i priorize my computer's internet speed over any other device connected to the wi-fi?

I mean, me and my wife pay the internet monthly and i have no problem sharing some connection with one of my neighbors, but when i'm downloading something, playing a game or any other activity demanding all the bandwith, i want to limit the other devices.

You can do this using your router settings, with QoS controls, if your router supports it.

Some routers calls it also bandwidth control like TP link does.

Also a good idea if your router supports it: set up a guest wireless network for your neighbors... this prevents them from seeing your devices on the network, and they just have a closed route to the internet.
