Okay, I got a blue screen telling me of KERNEL INPAGE ERROR it said it was going to send data and restart. The process was stuck on 100% for a while so I held the power button to turn it off. When I turned back on I'm getting repairing disk errors this could take over an hour... And too right it has, almost two. What can I do?

It may already be gone.. depending on what happened.

You should never have important files only stored in just 1 place. Nothing lasts forever and you have to plan for that eventuallity. Backups is key to surviving in this digital world.

Assuming you have something to backup to, first I would use linux live disk or Hirens boot disk and image the whole drive 'as is'.

Next I would see if the disk is damaged or not using something like Hirens Boot CD and one of the SMART tools like Hard disk Sentinel, HDD Scan, HD Tune... And checking the SMART values for issues (post results...

Next I would see if the disk is damaged or not using something like Hirens Boot CD and one of the SMART tools like Hard disk Sentinel, HDD Scan, HD Tune... And checking the SMART values for issues (post results back here) again these tools are all built into the Hirens boot disk.

Next I would see if I could access the files and if the files are whole and then just copy them to a backup drive.

If you need file recovery I would run photorec, recuva, or testdisk and recover to the backup drive. All of those are already on the hirens disk... Please keep in mnd that there is no guarantee that you will get any files back, but you usally get quite a bit.

Once you have your important files safe, and if the drive isnt physically damaged, we can try to recover the boot & file system.
